After a mini meltdown this weekend with trying to keep the boys on track with homeschooling, I am regrouping and changing my approach. I need to making charts and writing everything down for my own sanity. I personally work best with a checklist system for each kid. This distant learning is hard stuff… It’s so new for us assignments can be easily missed or forgotten. Damien even mentioned over the weekend that he misses his “regular school”, because in person they can explain things so much easier. I’m in this with them & I’m going to learn right there along with them, we’re in this together💞 @katiekactive [#sponsored] started an empowering movement #DefineBrave and this totally hits home. With Damien, I know I have to physically go over every email to make sure he understands what his goals are daily. Self advocacy and comprehension are something we are consistently working on.
