Damien had his 6th grade winter concert last night and was so excited about preforming. He wouldn’t tell what songs they were sing, he wanted everything to be a surprise 🎶 The whole chorus killed it and I couldn’t be any prouder 🥰 A little back story on Damien… he’s dealt with a severe speech and language delay his whole life, comprehension delay & multiple brain lesions and not once has he used any of these obstacles as an excuse for anything! Crushing goals off of his IEP each year… He’s been through 4 different school districts, 3 different elementary schools, now on to middle school and has had tons of hours of speech to guide him to be the best student to his ability… So, to see him on stage and preform with his peers with no insecurities makes my heart so full. #proudmommymoment
